Eisenhower Museum
Going back to Mr. J.C. Hall’s friendship with first General and then President Dwight D. Eisenhower, the Hall Family Foundation has a long-standing interest in assisting the Eisenhower Presidential Library & Museum in Abilene, Kansas, an exception to usual geographic grant restrictions. The Eisenhower Foundation is completing a capital campaign to refurbish the Museum’s display areas and exhibits, which include the table on which D-Day was planned, General Eisenhower’s staff car, gifts and awards for President Eisenhower, Mamie’s jewelry and ball gowns, a model of Sputnik and telegrams sent during the integration of Little Rock, Arkansas schools. Grants in the Additional Interests category include support for cultural and historical attractions as well as community-wide efforts to produce long-term solutions to high priority issues.
